
Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Mayelin Amoros Duquesne is a highly regarded physician who began her medical career in her native Havana and later earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Saint Kitts. Following medical school, Dr. Amoros pursued a hospital medicine internship in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She also worked as a physician assistant for Caribbean Cardiology and later completed a residency in internal medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Amoros holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of Toronto. She completed a Post-Baccalaureate at the University of Miami and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Walden University. Dr. Amoros has vast experience in outpatient care, telehealth, hospital care, and hospice medicine.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, she finds joy in caring for those in underserved communities and advocates for diversity and equity in healthcare.
